In addition, these quiet towns have built a reputation of offering a quiet refuge from the craziness of every day life.

There is plenty for non-art lovers to do, as well. Several public beaches, including Saugatuck’s renowned Oval Beach, are available for relaxing or strolling. Many golf courses surround the area. History buffs can tour local museums, enjoy the fantastic period architecture or participate in guided walking tours. Outdoor enthusiasts can take a hike to the top of Mt. Baldhead, the area’s largest sand dune.
